HOW WE HELP
EMERGENCY RESPONSE
Our Street Outreach and Emergency Shelter Programs help those experiencing homelessness address their immediate needs and connect them to services.
HOUSING STABILIZATION
Helping households experiencing housing insecurity through personalized case management. Together we will identify opportunity for housing security and safety

Literally Homeless
What does that mean?
The State of North Carolina and the United States Department of Housing & Urban Development define literal homelessness as:
"The individual's or family's primary nighttime residence is a public or private place not meant for human habitation:"
This includes abandoned buildings, places with no plumbing or electricity, outside on the street, in tents or in a vehicle.
While a person may be homeless and couch-surfing between family and friends, that doesn't meet the definition of literal homelessness.
